Under state law, every jurisdiction in California is required to adopt a Housing Element. On May 22, Pittsburg adopted an updated plan which sets forth the city’s path for providing housing for all income levels during the upcoming cycle, while advancing the principles of environmental justice, including ensuring all residents receive the same degree of protection from environmental and health hazards and are represented in the decision-making process to ensure a healthy environment in which to live, learn and work.
The city addressed public comments on an earlier draft and is excited to share the revised 6th Cycle Housing Element.
