On April 12, 2022, the Pittsburg Planning Commission unanimously approved a 2,000-square-foot Starbucks store. The new coffee shop will be located within walking distance of a new Courtyard by Marriott, which is also slated for construction.
Both projects will be situated at the southwest corner of Railroad Avenue and Center Drive.
The projects will provide economic growth and development along a main commercial corridor, and will encourage the use of alternative modes of transportation by providing short-term bicycle parking with close access to the Power Avenue Trail.
