Nearly $2M approved for pavement improvements

On Monday, June 3, the Pittsburg City Council allocated $1,951,212 in funding gained as part of the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, commonly referred to as “SB 1.” The funding will be available during the upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1.

For Fiscal Year 2024-2025, project selection prioritized maintaining a safe and efficient transportation system, and Pittsburg undertook a robust public process to ensure public input into the project list.

The identified project will result in the rehabilitation of multiple streets and will use various treatments based on the needs of each road.
