City working on a healthy communities ordinance

The City of Pittsburg is currently processing a City-initiated, citywide project to amend text within the Pittsburg Municipal Code. The proposed project includes amendments to various sections of the Pittsburg Municipal Code, related to the marketing, sale and use of alcohol, tobacco and cannabis.

Specifically, the text amendments are to revise the requirements for a Tobacco Retailer License, limit smoking in specific locations, update the Social Host Ordinance, add requirements for cannabis businesses and adopt Alcohol Performance Standards, consistent with state law.
