Pittsburg is set to host the second speaker of its new Economic Development Speaker Series. James Gilleylen, CEO of J-QUAD Planning Group, will present “Mixed-Income Housing Development in Pittsburg” in a park-side chat at Buckley Square Wednesday, April 20 at 5:00 p.m.
April is Fair Housing Month, which commemorates the Fair Housing Act of 1968. Passed during the height of the Civil Rights movement, the law prohibited discrimination concerning the sale, rental and financing of housing based on race, religion, national origin or sex.
Gilleylen will speak on the right balance of affordable, mixed-income and market-rate housing opportunities.
