Breaking ground on a new BART pedestrian and bike trail

by The 100 Companies

The City of Pittsburg and Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) celebrated the groundbreaking of the BART Connectivity Project that’ll connect the Delta de Anza Regional Trail with the Pittsburg Center BART Station. Once completed, the project will add more than 1.5 miles of new trails and pathways to Pittsburg and connect several new developments to public transportation.

It’s taken more than a decade to bring this key component of Pittsburg and CCTA’s shared goals to reduce automobile reliance, roadway congestion and carbon emissions to fruition.

The project is the largest single implementation of the Pittsburg Active Transportation Plan to date.
