On Oct. 14, the Pittsburg High School Marching Show Band won first place at this year’s Fleet Week High School Band Challenge. As a grand prize, the band was awarded $10,000 to be used for various band-related needs.

The storied marching band can add this to its already impressive resumé. The band has played the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, New Year’s Day parades in London and Rome and was recently invited to perform in Madrid.

The Pittsburg High School band continues to excel and be recognized as one of the best marching bands, not only in California but in the world.
