Recently, the Pittsburg City Council approved plans to help the Ambrose Recreation and Park District enhance public restrooms located at Ambrose Park. Residents of Pittsburg and Bay Point have been requesting this improvement in order to make the park safer and more enjoyable.

The District, which is partially funded by taxpayers in Bay Point and Pittsburg, approved the project budget of no more than $510,000.

After approving the budget, the District requested that the City of Pittsburg assist in providing construction management services, with an agreement that following completion of the project, the city will be reimbursed for all costs.
