Built as a center median on Pittsburg’s Eighth Street, this 10-block linear park provides a variety of landscape experiences for those walking along the median, including a dry creek with cobblestones, boulders and grasses.
Benches are located throughout and there’s a picnic area with tables and a BBQ pit located at Eighth and Cumberland. The city recently installed distance markers throughout the park to mark the .7-mile walk from Harbor Street to Herb White Way.
This park was formerly the Sacramento Northern Railroad right-of-way. Parking stalls are provided along the park.
Explore this space the next time you’re out and about.
