Railroad Avenue will soon see beautification improvements from Civic Avenue to Eighth Street. The project includes landscape improvements and a pocket park at the corner of 17th Street and Railroad Avenue.
The pocket park will have 5-foot-tall letters spelling out “PITTSBURG,” inviting people to visit our beautiful downtown as they travel on Railroad Avenue where colorful murals under the train tracks will lead to a gateway sign, full of history, awaiting visitors and residents at Eighth Street and Railroad Avenue.
The anticipated completion date is June 30, 2024 and the project is funded by the Clean California Local Grant program.
