California continues to experience a rise in both the number and severity of wildland fires. These fires have ravaged areas taking lives, destroying homes and obliterating infrastructure. To help prepare and educate residents, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office published a guide for county residents, their families and neighbors in the event of a wildfire.
This guide is intended to provide Contra Costa County residents with an overview of the steps they can take to prepare themselves should an evacuation become necessary. To read the wildfire preparedness and evacuation guide, click here.
