Pittsburg Recreation hosted their first event at the Marina Community Center with a free community event that featured Hoopbus, a group traveling the country to spread a message of peace, love and basketball. Since 2020, Hoopbus has been a vehicle of change with a mission to empower communities through basketball.
The event featured a live DJ, interactive inflatables, a basketball clinic, carnival games, food vendors and more. Hoopbus also brought Elvin Rodriguez, actor in the Netflix series “Hustle,” and Mr. Hotspot, a musician and social media influencer, to join in the fun and welcome everyone back to the Marina Center.
