On June 14, 2021, the City Council and Planning Commission of Pittsburg held a joint workshop to discuss land use alternatives for the update to the city’s General Plan, “Envision Pittsburg.”
The Land Use Alternatives and Capacity Report identifies three land use map alternatives and addresses the impact of each alternative on five focus areas in the city. Participants of the workshop discussed opportunities to bring diverse housing opportunities, as well as job creation opportunities to numerous areas of the city, including along the city’s vast waterfront.
