City to consider adoption of the Pittsburg Moves Active Transportation Plan

Next month, the City Council will consider adopting a new community-driven plan aimed at making Pittsburg the most bicycle and pedestrian friendly community in East Contra Costa County.

The Pittsburg Moves Active Transportation Plan recommends more than 250 projects to enhance bicyclist and pedestrian safety, including separated bikeways on key streets and pedestrian hybrid beacons at a number of crosswalks throughout the city.

Visit the Pittsburg Moves webpage for more information on the plan and the upcoming adoption meetings.
