Pittsburg joins grassroots initiative to plant 2,000 trees March 12

by The 100 Companies

Tree-lovers will come together for a cause this weekend, when the City of Pittsburg presents a special tree-planting event Saturday, March 12. The event is part of AMPlify the Urban Forest‘s initiative to plant more than 2,000 trees across 30 California communities that day.

The event takes place from 9 a.m.-noon  at Santa Fe Linear Park and Columbia Linear Park. Organizers will provide  refreshments and a hot dog lunch, along with a raffle to win a GT Urban Ash guitar from Taylor Guitars.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own masks, shovels and gloves. More information available here. Happy planting!
