Hometown Hero banners proudly flying in Pittsburg

Banners honoring some of our local military personnel are proudly displayed on light posts in Pittsburg along Railroad Avenue in Old Town and along the corner of Railroad and California Avenues. The Hometown Hero banner program is a new annual program recognizing and honoring Pittsburg residents who have served or are serving in the United States military.

The City of Pittsburg coordinated with the United Veterans Council of Pittsburg, comprised of the American Legion Post 151, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1898 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 154 for this first round of banners which will remain up through September.
