The city council approved the city’s five-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to repair and replace city infrastructure. The goal is to implement improvement projects that will cost an estimated $400,651,081 in the interest of Pittsburg residents.

In 2019, the city completed eight CIP projects, with others underway, on a variety of infrastructure projects including sidewalk replacements, curb constructions, building and improving pedestrian/bicycle trails/lanes, road improvements, and more.

Projects are decided based on available funding and the benefit it will bring to residents. The City of Pittsburg uses grants and other funding to improve safety and be more efficient for all.
