April 1 events to start the month off right

• The annual Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt starts at 8 a.m. at Small World Park. The Kiwanians will serve pancakes until 11 a.m. for a donation of $5. At 11 a.m., join the hunt for treats from the Easter bunny.

• Join the Souljahs at 11 a.m. for a Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta celebration. The rally and march begin at City Hall followed by a celebration at Marina Vista.

• First 5 Contra Costa hosts the Week of the Youth Child from 10 a.m. – noon, featuring a read-aloud, wildlife presentation, arts & crafts, face painting and more.
