Amazon is first tenant in Oakley’s Logistics Center

A ribbon cutting was held on Oct. 7 for Amazon as the first tenant in the 2.2 million-square-foot Contra Costa Logistics Center, a mixed-use complex currently being constructed in Oakley. The 150,000-square-foot Amazon building will be the smallest of five buildings at the site, with the largest planned at more than 642,000 square feet.

Kansas City-based NorthPoint Development broke ground on the business park in January and expects construction to be completed within a couple of years. The complex, which will house a variety of light industrial and logistics uses, is expected to bring some 2,000 jobs to the region.
